Nahid Afroz, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, has been appointed as the administrator of Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) according to Section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act 2022. This information was informed in an order signed by the Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce (Director General of Trade Organizations) Dr. Nazneen Kausar Chowdhury. The order said that the appointed administrator shall inform the ministry within 120 days after handing over the responsibility to the selected committee through a fair and impartial election.

বাণিজ্য সংগঠন আইন ২০২২ এর ১৭ ধারা মোতাবেক বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের যুগ্মসচিব নাহিদ আফরোজকে বাংলাদেশ কম্পিউটার সমিতির প্রশাসক নিয়োগ করা হয়েছে। বুধবার বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়ের অতিরিক্ত সচিব (মহাপরিচালক বাণিজ্য সংগঠন ) ড. নাজনীন কাউসার চৌধুরী স্বাক্ষরিত এক আদেশে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। আদেশে বলা হয়েছে, নিয়োগকৃত প্রশাসক ১২০ দিনের মধ্য একটি সুস্ঠু ও নিরপেক্ষ নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে নির্বাচিত কমিটির নিকট দায়িত্ব হস্তান্তর করে মন্ত্রণালয়কে অবহিত করবে।
