BFIU seeks bank account details of former adviser Asif Mahmud
Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought the bank account details of former interim government adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan.
On Monday (March 2), the BFIU sent a letter in this regard to 56 scheduled banks and financial institutions.
The letter has directed them to submit all information and documents of the personal bank account of National Citizen Party spokesperson Asif to the BFIU within the next three working days.
Earlier, a written complaint was filed against him with the Anti Corruption Commission.
Meanwhile, in the wake of the bank account details request, Asif Mahmud announced on Wednesday that he would make his bank statement public.
He said: "Tomorrow I will make my bank statement public. I have submitted my income and assets details to the Cabinet Division before my resignation."
