BGB deployed in five districts
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has been deployed in Cox's Bazar, Madaripur, Sherpur, Gazipur and Moulvibazar districts to maintain the internal law and order situation in the country and to deal with potential security risks. On the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs, BGB members will perform this duty from Monday evening to June 30 in coordination with the district administration and law enforcement agencies concerned.
BGB Headquarters Public Relations Officer Md. Shariful Islam gave this information.
He said that BGB members have been kept on standby for immediate deployment in other districts of the country as well as as needed.
He also said that the force is always ready to maintain the law and order situation in the country, ensure public security and deal with any situation related to national interest.
