Biman crew stranded in Doha arrive home
Twelve crew members of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, stranded in Doha since February 27 due to the Middle East conflict, returned to Dhaka on Tuesday night (March 10).
The group included pilots and cabin crew who had been staying in a hotel in Qatar for 12 days after flights were canceled amid the US-Iran tensions.
They were welcomed by officials from Biman Bangladesh Airlines and members of the Cabin Crew Union.
A Biman official said that crews from Dammam were first flown to Riyadh and then brought back to Bangladesh, while those stranded in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi were also safely repatriated.
During the ordeal, family members of the crew were extremely anxious.
Upon their arrival, they expressed relief at returning home.
Crew member Captain Asif Mahmud said the airline provided full assistance to ensure their safe return.
