BNP Election Steering Committee Spokesperson Mahdi Amin

BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's adviser Mahdi Amin has been made the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Central Election Steering Committee.

Committee Chairman Nazrul Islam Khan gave this information at a press conference after the BNP Election Steering Committee meeting in Gulshan on Sunday evening.

He said that from now on, Mahdi Amin will hold regular briefings as the spokesperson of the Election Steering Committee.

Earlier, the first meeting of the 13th National Parliament Election Steering Committee was held at the BNP election office on Road 90, Gulshan. It was presided over by the committee chairman and BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan.

BNP formed a 41-member Election Steering Committee last Thursday to conduct the upcoming parliamentary elections. Party Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan has been made the chairman while Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi the member secretary. In addition, BNP Chairperson's Advisory Council member Ismail Jabiullah has been named chief coordinator.
