BNP keeps its promises, delivers beyond manifesto: Home Minister
BNP makes promises and delivers beyond its manifesto, said Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed.
He was speaking at a programme to disburse retirement and welfare benefits to private teachers and staff at the Osmani Memorial Hall in the capital on Saturday.
"BNP makes promises and keeps them. It gave 31 points and delivers up to 32 points," he said.
He said the payment of outstanding dues to retired teachers and staff was not in the BNP election manifesto. Yet the government has taken this initiative to alleviate their long-standing suffering.
"Giving money to retired teachers like this was not in the manifesto — this is number 32. And the school dress initiative is number 33," he added.
He further said the government will continue to implement necessary initiatives beyond its pledges.
