BNP reports Tk 22.19 crore income in 2025

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) reported a total income of Tk 22.19 crore in 2025, with a surplus of Tk 6.93 crore after expenses, senior party leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Sunday (July 19) while submitting the party's annual financial statement to the Election Commission (EC).

Speaking to reporters at the EC headquarters in Agargaon, Rizvi said the party earned Tk 22,19,55,182 during the year, while its total expenditure stood at Tk 15,26,00,857, leaving a surplus of Tk 6,93,54,325.

He said the party's primary sources of income included membership renewal fees, contributions from different tiers of party committees, donations, and interest earned on fixed deposits.

According to Rizvi, the expenditure covered party office operations, posters and leaflets, political programmes, and central organisational expenses.

He said the financial statement was submitted as part of the party's commitment to public accountability and transparency.

Responding to a question on the upcoming local government elections, Rizvi said the party has not yet decided whether it will contest the polls independently or as part of an alliance.
