Home Minister and BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the party aims to move beyond its past negative image regarding parliamentary affairs. He made the remark during the second day of a two-day training workshop for BNP MPs at the party chairman’s political office in Gulshan on Saturday (March 7). The minister emphasized that the workshop aims to prepare BNP lawmakers for a more effective and public-oriented role in parliament. “This parliament will be welfare-focused and acceptable to all,” he said. On the second day, participants included MPs from the Dhaka district; Mymensingh, Dhaka division; Faridpur; Sylhet; Cumilla; and Chattogram regions, alongside senior BNP leaders.

স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী সালাহউদ্দিন আহমদ জানিয়েছেন, বিএনপি সংসদ নিয়ে অতীতের নেতিবাচক ধারণা থেকে বেরিয়ে আসতে চায়। শনিবার (৭ মার্চ) গুলশানে বিএনপির চেয়ারম্যানের রাজনৈতিক কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত দ্বিতীয় দিনের কর্মশালায় তিনি এই মন্তব্য করেন। স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, এই কারণেই বিএনপির সংসদীয় প্রতিনিধিদের জন্য দুই দিনব্যাপী প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। তিনি আরও বলেন, “এবারের সংসদ হবে জনকল্যাণমুখী এবং সবার কাছে গ্রহণযোগ্য সংসদ।” দ্বিতীয় দিনের প্রথম অধিবেশনের কর্মশালায় অংশ নেন ঢাকা জেলা, ময়মনসিংহ, ঢাকা বিভাগের, ফরিদপুর, সিলেট, কুমিল্লা ও চট্টগ্রাম অঞ্চলের সদস্যরা। এছাড়া উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিএনপির শীর্ষ নেতৃবৃন্দ।
