The Bangladesh Nationalist Party BNP has called an emergency meeting of its standing committee. The meeting will be held at 7 pm on Thursday at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan. The matter was confirmed by the party’s media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan. He said acting chairman Tarique Rahman called the meeting of the top policymaking forum this afternoon. The meeting will be presided over by acting chairman Tarique Rahman. Sources said the meeting will discuss the latest political situation, the ongoing election process, party organisational activities and other key national issues. Members of the BNP national standing committee will attend the meeting.

জাতীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির জরুরি বৈঠক ডেকেছে বিএনপি। দলটির সর্বোচ্চ নীতি নির্ধারণী ফোরামের এই বৈঠক চেয়ারপারসনের গুলশান কার্যালয়ে বৃহস্পতিবার (১৩ নভেম্বর) সন্ধ্যা ৭ টায় এই বৈঠক অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। বিএনপির মিডিয়া সেলের সদস্য শায়রুল কবির খান এই তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন। তিনি জানান, সন্ধ্যায় সাতটায় বিএনপির স্থায়ী কমিটির বৈঠক ডাকা হয়েছে। বৈঠকে সভাপতিত্ব করবেন দলের ভারপ্রাপ্ত চেয়ারম্যান তারেক রহমান। তবে কী বিষয়ে এই বৈঠক ডাকা হয়েছে, তা সুনির্দিষ্টভাবে জানা যায়নি।
