Body of Bangladeshi expat killed in UAE arrives in Dhaka

The body of Bangladeshi expatriate Ahmed Ali, who was killed in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) amid the Iran-Israel conflict, arrived in Dhaka on Monday morning (March 9).

The remains landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:20am via Emirates Flight EK 582.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam and Minister of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Md. Nurul Haque were present to receive the body, along with senior officials from both ministries.

Airport sources confirmed that, with assistance from the Foreign Ministry and relevant diplomatic missions, Ahmed Ali’s body was transported from Dubai to Dhaka. Following legal formalities, it will be handed over to the family.

Ahmed Ali lost his life while residing in Dubai during the escalating Iran-Israel tensions.
