The body of Bangladeshi national Mosharraf Hossain, killed in a missile strike near Al-Tuwaik in Saudi Arabia, has arrived in Bangladesh.

The remains were flown to Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday morning at 10:50am via a Saudi Airlines flight.

Family members received the body in the presence of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam was also present during this time.

Mosharraf, son of Surjat Ali from Kirttonkhola village in Sakhipur of Tangail, had been working in Saudi Arabia for nearly eight years. He had returned to Bangladesh two years ago for a short visit before resuming his work abroad.

The attack, which occurred on March 8 in a residential building just before iftar, also claimed the lives of two others.

According to family members, Mosharraf spoke to his eldest son Mahim over a video call about half an hour before the incident—his last conversation with his family.
