BRTA, DMTCL among four state-run agencies get new heads

The government has appointed new chief executives to four key state-run agencies, including the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) and Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on Wednesday (April 29) appointing four additional secretaries to the posts.

According to the orders, Mohammad Habibur Rahman, additional secretary of the Ministry of Water Resources (under transfer as chairman of the National Housing Authority), has been appointed chairman of BRTA.

Mosammat Ferdousi Begum, additional secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, has been appointed chairman of the National Housing Authority.

Md. Shawgatul Alam, director general of Dhaka National Science and Technology Museum, has been made managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL).

Meanwhile, Dr. Abu Naser Mohammad Abdullah, additional secretary of the Local Government Division, has been appointed director general of the National Museum of Science and Technology.
