Bullet lodged in head, Hadi on life support: DMCH director

Sharif Osman Hadi, who was shot, is fighting for his life in the ICU of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where a bullet lodged inside his head has not yet been removed.

Doctors said his condition is extremely critical.

Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman, director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said, “Hadi’s condition is critical. He has been placed on life support. The bullet is still inside his head.”

Earlier today, he was shot in the Box Culvert area of Bijoynagar in the capital while campaigning for the upcoming election. He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a severely injured state.

Meanwhile, interim government chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed deep concern over the shooting of Osman Hadi. He also instructed law enforcement agencies to conduct swift and thorough investigations to identify and bring all those involved to justice.
