CA to embark on 3-day Malaysia visit today

Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to depart for Malaysia today for a three-day official visit (August 11–13) at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

The visit aims to boost bilateral cooperation in immigration, investment, defence, energy, and workforce recruitment.


During the visit, five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and three Exchanges of Notes are expected to be signed, covering areas such as defence, energy, deep-sea fishing, business collaboration, halal certification, higher education, and diplomatic training.

The Chief Adviser will be received with a guard of honour and will hold both private and bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday in Putrajaya. A joint press conference and state lunch will follow the signing ceremony.

He will also attend a business forum and meet members of the Bangladeshi community in Malaysia.

The delegation includes top advisers on foreign affairs, expatriate welfare, energy, national security, and investment, reflecting the significance of the visit in strengthening Bangladesh–Malaysia ties.
