CA Yunus to hold meeting with Advisers, Secretaries today
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to hold meetings with secretaries and advisers today (February 9), in what is expected to be the last formal meeting of the current administration.
According to Cabinet Division sources, the meeting with secretaries will begin at 10:15am at the Chief Adviser’s Office in Tejgaon, where Dr. Yunus will deliver an address outlining final directives.
A meeting of the Advisory Council is set to follow later in the day.
A total of 75 secretaries, including 16 serving on a contractual basis, are expected to attend the meeting.
The interim government was formed on August 8, 2024, and today’s meeting is likely to mark the conclusion of its routine administrative activities.
However, sources said the Advisory Council may convene only in case of urgent necessity ahead of the 13th national parliamentary election on February 12.
Meanwhile, advisers have begun completing exit formalities. Two advisers have already vacated their official residences, while three advisers and one senior contract official have returned their diplomatic passports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
