Call them 'gupto' who try to mislead you: Tarique Rahman

BNP Chairperson Tarique Rahman has urged the public to call out 'gupto' (hidden ones) who may try to mislead them in the current political climate. He asserted that BNP is the only party with the experience needed to lead the country forward properly.

Addressing an election rally in Sirajganj on Saturday, November 3, Tarique Rahman said people now want to know which political party has a plan for the country's future. "At this moment, BNP is the only political party that has the experience of running the country and taking it forward... No other party has this kind of experience," he claimed.

He said he could have criticised his opponents for applause, but that would not be fruitful. Instead, he focused on unity and trust, stating, "People trust those with experience, those who do not abandon them in times of crisis."

"The public should call anyone trying to spread misleading information a 'gupta'," he said, adding, "Because for the last 16 years, we haven't seen them. They have mingled with those who fled on the 5th."

Addressing local concerns, he pledged that if BNP comes to power, it would help expand the global market for Sirajganj's traditional handloom products. At the rally, he also symbolically handed over the 'sheaf of paddy' symbol to BNP-nominated candidates from 11 constituencies in Sirajganj and Pabna districts.
