EC declares Bogura-6 seat vacant

Letter sent to CEC to administer oath to newly elected MPs
Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin will administer the oath to the victorious candidates as members of parliament in the 13th National Parliamentary Election tomorrow, Tuesday, February 17. The Parliament Secretariat has sent a letter to the CEC requesting him to administer the oath. The EC has received the letter.
Decision on vote recount if court orders: EC Anwarul
The Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance has alleged rigging in the vote counting of the 13th National Parliamentary Election. The alliance formally lodged a complaint with the Election Commission on Sunday, February 15. The Commission has also responded to it.
BNP secures 50% votes, Jamaat gets 32% in national election
The BNP, which is on course to form the government after winning two-thirds of the seats in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, has secured nearly four crore votes—amounting to 49.97 per cent of votes cast. Jamaat-e-Islami, which has emerged as the main opposition party in second position, has received 31.76 per cent of the votes.
