CEC meets President at Bangabhaban

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A M M Nasir Uddin met President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Wednesday (December 10) to brief him on the Election Commission’s overall preparations for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and the national referendum.

According to a press release signed by Md. Nesar Uddin Jewel, deputy secretary of the President’s Office, the CEC visited Bangabhaban in the afternoon along with Election Commissioners Abdur Rahmanel Masud, Begum Tahmida Ahmad, Md. Anwarul Islam Sarker, and Brig Gen (Retd.) Abul Fazl Sanaullah.

During the meeting, the CEC informed the President about the Commission’s readiness and ongoing activities regarding the election and referendum schedules. The President also expressed satisfaction with the preparations.

Senior Secretary of the EC Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed, Secretary of the President’s Office Khan Md. Nurul Amin, and Military Secretary to the President Maj Gen Mohammad Adil Chowdhury were also present at the meeting.
