In the Babul Mridha murder case, SI Mahmudul Hasan Irfan submitted a charge sheet against 33 people, including Hasina, on August 13, recommending the release of 39 others.

The accused in the second case also include former ministers Anisul Haq and Hasan Mahmud, former state minister Mohammad Ali Arafat, former Dhaka South City mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and several former MPs and local political leaders.
