Chattogram-1 MP Nurul Amin hospitalised after road accident

Member of the parliament from Chattogram-1 seat, Nurul Amin of Mirsarai was injured after his car crashed into a road divider on the Dhaka–Chattogram highway in Feni on Tuesday afternoon.

'The accident occurred around 5:00pm in the Mohammad Ali area,' said Mahipal Highway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Asadul Islam.

He said the vehicle carrying the lawmaker hit the highway divider, prompting police to rush to the scene. Nurul Amin was subsequently taken to Chattogram in another vehicle from his convoy.

The damaged car was recovered and taken to Mahipal Highway Police Station, the OC added.


Mezbah Uddin Manik, a member of Mirsarai upazila unit of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, said Nurul Amin was admitted to the emergency unit of Imperial Hospital in Chattogram.

“A CT scan was performed as he sustained injuries to his head, and he is now under observation,” he added.
