Amid concerns over recent attacks on Chhayanaut Sanskrit Bhaban following the death of Inqilab Mancha Spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, the organisation President Sarwar Ali has called for an end to insecurity and the protection of Bengali culture.

Speaking at the ‘Songs of Solidarity’ rally held on Tuesday (December 23) in front of the Chhayanaut Cultural Centre in Dhanmondi, he said people must actively safeguard national identity and cultural heritage from their respective positions.

He urged for an end to insecurity so that the journey of Bengali culture can continue without obstruction.

The rally was organised in protest against recent violent attacks on Bengali culture and free thought. Renowned artists, writers, intellectuals, journalists, and cultural activists from various walks of life took part in the gathering.

Chhayanaut artists performed a series of timeless songs highlighting humanity, secular values, cultural resistance, and solidarity. The peaceful programme conveyed a strong message against violence and communalism, reaffirming the spirit of the Liberation War and the inclusive, humanistic essence of Bengali culture.
