Chief Adviser extends Ramadan greetings to nation, muslim ummah
Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus has extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the country and the Muslim Ummah worldwide on the occasion of holy Ramadan.
In a message issued on Sunday (February 15) ahead of the sacred month, he described Ramadan as a time of self-restraint, sacrifice, compassion and spiritual purification.
He said fasting, charity and increased devotion during the month help strengthen social harmony while creating opportunities to attain the pleasure and closeness of Almighty Allah.
The Chief Adviser noted that Ramadan inspires individuals and the nation to shun injustice, corruption and wrongdoing, and to work toward building a just and welfare-oriented society.
He said the holy month encourages truthfulness, integrity, fairness and the practice of human values, while fostering a sense of responsibility toward the poor and underprivileged.
Urging all to avoid extravagance and hostility, he called on people to dedicate themselves to prayers, recitation of the Holy Quran, supplication, repentance and good deeds to uphold the sanctity of Ramadan.
He concluded by praying for the acceptance of everyone’s fasting, prayers and good deeds, and wished peace, prosperity and well-being for the country and its people.
