Chief Adviser Yunus congratulates Tarique Rahman on BNP's victory

Chief Adviser of Bangladesh’s interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus has congratulated Tarique Rahman on the Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s (BNP) decisive victory in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

In his message, Yunus described the win as a clear expression of the people’s mandate in Bangladesh’s democratic transition, calling it a key milestone for constitutional continuity and institutional stability.

He expressed hope that under Tarique Rahman’s leadership, the party’s governance will advance stability, inclusivity, and development, guided by democratic values and public welfare.

Yunus also paid tribute to the legacy of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia, noting their ideals will continue to guide the nation’s future.

The Chief Adviser emphasised the need for coordinated leadership to seize new global opportunities, including economic transformation, technological progress, climate resilience, human resource development, and active diplomacy.

He expressed confidence that Tarique Rahman’s leadership will strengthen national unity, the rule of law, accountability, and democratic principles.
