On the occasion of Great Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day, Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury paid homage to the martyrs of the Language Movement. The tribute took place at 6:00am at the Central Shaheed Minar on Saturday (February 21), where the Chief Justice laid a wreath. Appellate Division judges SM Emdadul Haque, Farah Mahbub, and other High Court judges were also present during this time. After the wreath-laying ceremony, the Chief Justice and Supreme Court judges observed a moment of silence, honouring the memory and sacrifices of the language martyrs.

মহান শহীদ দিবস ও আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে প্রধান বিচারপতি জুবায়ের রহমান চৌধুরী ভাষা আন্দোলনের বীর শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করেছেন। শনিবার (২১ ফেব্রুয়ারি) ভোর ৬টায় কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের মাধ্যমে শ্রদ্ধা নিবেদন করা হয়। এসময় আপিল বিভাগের বিচারপতি এস এম এমদাদুল হক, বিচারপতি ফারাহ মাহবুব ও হাইকোর্ট বিভাগের অন্যান্য বিচারপতিরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণের পর প্রধান বিচারপতি ও সুপ্রিম কোর্টের বিচারপতিরা ভাষা শহীদদের স্মৃতির প্রতি গভীর শ্রদ্ধা জানিয়ে কিছুক্ষণ নীরবে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকেন। এ সময় দেশের ভাষা আন্দোলনে শহীদদের অবদান শ্রদ্ধার সঙ্গে স্মরণ করা হয়।
