Chief Justice to address judicial officers on Dec 30

New Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury will address all district and sessions judges, metropolitan sessions judges, chief judicial magistrates and chief metropolitan magistrates across the country on December 30. The Law and Justice Division of the Ministry of Law has issued a memorandum in this regard.

The memorandum said that, following consultation with the Supreme Court, all district and sessions judges, metropolitan sessions judges, chief judicial magistrates and chief metropolitan magistrates have been nominated to attend the Chief Justice’s address, scheduled to be held at 10am on December 30 at the Supreme Court auditorium.

Earlier, Appellate Division Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury was appointed as the country’s 26th Chief Justice.

The Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued the appointment notification on December 23. He took oath on Sunday.
