Chiefs of three services meet Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a courtesy meeting with the heads of the three armed forces on Thursday morning (February 19).

On the second consecutive day at the Secretariat, the Prime Minister attended an inter-ministerial meeting focused on the rollout of the Family Card programme.

Earlier, on Wednesday (February 18) at 3:00pm, the first meeting of the new cabinet was held under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, during which he exchanged greetings with the ministers.

This marked Tarique Rahman's first formal working session at the Secretariat as Prime Minister.

Previously, for over a decade, most cabinet and secretariat meetings had been held at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The new government’s Prime Minister, ministers, and state ministers took oath on Tuesday evening (February 17), following which the Cabinet Division issued notifications on departmental allocations.
