CJ forms 57 benches at High Court Division
Chief Justice Zubayer Rahman Chowdhury today formed 57 benches at the High Court Division to conduct judicial proceedings from tomorrow.
Of the 57 benches, 19 are single-judge benches and 38 are double-judge benches with specific judicial jurisdictions, according to a Supreme Court notification signed by the chief justice.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court will resume its regular activities tomorrow (October 25) after the end of its vacation.
It is worth noting that regular judicial proceedings at the Supreme Court remained suspended from September 16 to October 24 due to court recess and public holidays. However, during this extended break, regular judicial proceedings continued before designated vacation benches to hear urgent cases.
