Clash between Ishraque supporters at Nagar Bhaban leaves 2 injured

A violent clash erupted on Tuesday between two factions of BNP leader Ishraque Hossain’s supporters at Nagar Bhaban, the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) headquarters. The conflict left two people injured.

Monir Hossain (45) and Mahidul Islam (35) were rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 12:30 PM. According to hospital police camp in-charge Inspector Md. Faruk, both sustained injuries during the clash and are currently receiving treatment.

The incident highlights rising tensions within BNP supporters ahead of upcoming political events in Dhaka.

In a related development, Ishraque Hossain has announced an urgent press conference to address the situation, DSCC service issues, and ongoing public protests. The press briefing was supposed to take place at 4:30 PM today at the National Press Club. The media cell of Ishraque has announced that this press conference will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, at 12 noon."
