Dhaka College and City College got involved in clash again in the capital's New Market area. Two to three students sustained injuries in during the clash took place around 11:30am on Thursday (August 21). At that time, a group of students from the Science Lab area was heading toward Dhaka College in an armed manner. Journalists attempting to take photos were stopped. However, the cause of the clash and the extent of the damage remain unknown. AKM Mahfuzul Haque, officer-in-charge (OC) of New Market Police Station said, "Police are on the scene to control the situation, and the cause of the clash is under investigation."

রাজধানীর নিউমার্কেট এলাকায় ঢাকা কলেজ ও সিটি কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীদের মধ্যে সংঘর্ষের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। এ ঘটনায় দুই থেকে তিনজন শিক্ষার্থী আহত হয়েছেন। বৃহস্পতিবার (২১ আগস্ট) সকাল সাড়ে ১১টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। এ সময় সাইন্সল্যাব এলাকা থেকে কিছু শিক্ষার্থী সশস্ত্র অবস্থায় ঢাকা কলেজের দিকে যাচ্ছিলেন। সাংবাদিকরা ছবি তুলতে গেলে তাদের বাঁধা দেন। সংঘর্ষের কারণ ও ক্ষয়ক্ষতির বিস্তারিত তথ্য এখনও জানা যায়নি। নিউমার্কেট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) এ কে এম মাহফুজুল হক বলেন, দুই প্রতিষ্ঠানের শিক্ষার্থীরা নিউমার্কেট এলাকায় সংঘর্ষে জড়িয়েছে। পরিস্থিতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে পুলিশ সদস্যরা ঘটনাস্থলে উপস্থিত রয়েছেন এবং সংঘর্ষের কারণ খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে।
