CNG auto-rickshaw drivers have blocked the road in Dhaka's Mohakhali area to protest various demands. Since 1:30 pm on Monday (January 20), CNG auto rickshaw drivers have been protesting on the Mohakhali-Banani road, resulting in a traffic standstill. Hundreds of commuters are facing disruptions due to the blockade. Junaid Zahedi, AC of the Dhaka Metropolitan Traffic Police, Mohakhali Zone, confirmed the matter. The drivers are protesting against problems such as the unnecessary detainment of CNGs, interference with parking, and other grievances. The drivers are currently blocking the road in front of the BRTA Mohakhali office, disrupting traffic in the Gulshan-Banani-Mohakhali areas. Commuters on these roads are experiencing significant inconvenience.

রাজধানীর মহাখালী এলাকায় সিএনজি অটোরিকশার চালকরা বিভিন্ন দাবি নিয়ে সড়ক অবরোধ করেছেন। সোমবার (২০ জানুয়ারি) দুপুর দেড়টা থেকে তারা মহাখালী বনানী সড়কে অবস্থান নিয়ে বিক্ষোভ করছেন। এর ফলে ওই সড়কটি দিয়ে যান চলাচল বন্ধ হয়ে গেছে। ভোগান্তিতে পড়েছেন শত শত মানুষ। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন ঢাকা মহানগর ট্রাফিক পুলিশের মহাখালী জোনের এসি জুনায়েদ জাহেদী। অযথা সিএনজি না ধরা, যেখানে সেখানে পার্কিংয়ের সময় বাধা না দেওয়াসহ বিভিন্ন দাবি জানান চালকরা। এ প্রতিবেদন লেখার সময় (বিকাল ৩টা) চালকরা বিআরটিএ মহাখালী ভবনের সামনে অবস্থান করছেন এবং সড়ক অবরোধ করে রেখেছেন। এতে গুলশান-বনানী-মহাখালী এলাকায় যান চলাচল বিঘ্নিত হচ্ছে। এতে ভোগান্তিতে পড়েছেন এসব সড়ক ব্যবহার করা মানুষ।
