Murder cases

The government has formed a new committee to withdraw harassment cases filed for political reasons. The Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister will serve as the convener of the committee, while an official from the Law-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs will act as the member secretary. The committee will have a total of six members. The government stated that the committee will oversee the process of withdrawing politically motivated harassment cases filed at various times. The notification, issued by order of the President, was signed on Sunday by Md Humayun Kabir, Additional Secretary of the Committee Branch of the Cabinet Division. This step aims to strengthen government efforts to ensure the swift and proper withdrawal of such cases.

রাজনৈতিক কারণে দায়ের করা হয়রানিমূলক মামলা প্রত্যাহারের জন্য নতুন একটি কমিটি গঠন করেছে সরকার। কমিটির আহ্বায়ক হবেন আইন, বিচার ও সংসদ বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী এবং সদস্য সচিব হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের আইন-১ শাখার কর্মকর্তা। কমিটিতে মোট ৬ জন সদস্য থাকবেন। সরকার বলেছে, কমিটি বিভিন্ন সময়ে দায়ের করা রাজনৈতিক হয়রানিমূলক মামলা প্রত্যাহার কার্যক্রম তদারকি করবে। প্রজ্ঞাপনটি রাষ্ট্রপতির আদেশক্রমে গত রোববার মন্ত্রিপরিষদ বিভাগের কমিটি বিষয়ক অধিশাখার অতিরিক্ত সচিব মো. হুমায়ুন কবির স্বাক্ষরিত হয়েছে। এ পদক্ষেপের মাধ্যমে মামলাসমূহ দ্রুত ও যথাযথভাবে প্রত্যাহারের জন্য সরকারি কার্যক্রমকে শক্তিশালী করা হবে।
