Conspirators trying to destroy religious harmony: Rizvi

BNP acting secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that conspirators have repeatedly attempted to destroy the country's religious harmony.

He made the remarks after placing wreaths and paying respects at the graves of former president Ziaur Rahman and former prime minister Khaleda Zia at the capital's Zia Uddyan on Tuesday morning, September 8, along with members of the Hindu, Buddhist and Christian welfare trusts.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said this unbreakable bond will endure for generations, adding that members of all communities participate in each other's religious festivals.

He further said these trusts have been formed to oversee religious matters. As a political party, BNP has ensured space for everyone, and this was established by Ziaur Rahman.
