Contracts of 24 officials canceled, including 3 ambassadors and 2 commissioners

The government today cancelled contractual appointments of 24 officials including ambassadors and bureaucrats for the remaining period of their contracts, according to a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

The ambassadors whose contractual appointments have been canceled are: Md Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Germany; Md Fazlul Bari, the Ambassador to Iraq; and Shahabuddin Ahmad, the Ambassador to Japan.

The officers whose contracts were canceled include: Additional Secretary of the President's Office Syed Belal Hossain, Additional Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Ashok Kumar Debnath, Project Director (PD) of Sheikh Hasina Institute of Frontier Technology Syed Zahurul Islam, Chairman of Bangladesh Rubber Board Syeda Sarwar Jahan, Project Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited Md Aftab Uddin Talukder, Project Director of Export Competitiveness for Jobe (EC4J) Md Mansurul Alam, Member of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority Mohsina Yasmin, and Secretary of Information Commission Zubaida Nasreen.

The other officers whose contracts were canceled include: Director General of Bangladesh National Museum Md Kamruzzaman, Chairman of National River Protection Commission Sarwar Mahmud, Additional Director General of Directorate of Primary Education Dr Uttam Kumar Das, Director General of National Science and Technology Museum Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Member of National River Protection Commission (Full time) Satyendra Kumar Sarkar, Commissioner (Engineer) of Bangladesh Telecom Regulatory Commission Sheikh Riaz Ahmed , Commissioner (Management and Administration) of Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission Md Delwar Hossain, Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority GSM Zafrullah, Secretary of Bangladesh Press Council Shyamal Chandra Karmakar, Project Director of National Digital Land Zoning Project (based on Mauza Plot) Md Kofil Uddin, Project Director of Establishment of Digital Land Management System Md Zahurul Haque, Executive Director of Kobi Nazrul Institute AFM Hayatullah and Director General of Bangabandhu Poverty Alleviation and Rural Development Academy Mohammad Borhanul Haque.
