The court expressed embarrassment over the case involving cricketer Nasir Hossain and his wife Tamima Sultana Tammi, who are facing charges of adultery and defamation. As a result, the court has decided to transfer the case to another court.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman issued the order on Monday (April 28).

Both Nasir and Tamima were present in the court for their defense hearing. Their lawyer Adv Azizur Rahman Dulu submitted two petitions, including one accusing the plaintiff’s lawyer, Ishrat Hasan, of contempt of court over her media comments regarding the case.

After hearing both sides, the court said, "Both parties have the right to submit applications. However, this is a busy court, and there isn’t enough time to give this case the attention it deserves without affecting other cases. I’m feeling embarrassed. I will transfer this case to another court. Would that be unacceptable to you?"

The lawyers said, "We have no objection to it."

The court then stated, "I am transferring the case to the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, who will assign it to another court."
