Court orders preservation of madrasa teacher’s DNA in pregnancy case of 11-year-old girl

The court has ordered the three-day remand of madrasa teacher Aman Ullah Sagar, accused in a case filed in Madan Upazila of Netrokona for raping an 11-year-old girl. At the same time, it has been ordered to collect and preserve his DNA sample for the sake of investigation.

Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohsina Islam of Madan Amli Court issued this order on Sunday afternoon (May 10).

The matter was confirmed by the court's General Registration Officer (GRO) Suhrawardy.

According to court sources, after the three-day remand, the investigation officer of the case, SI Aktaruzzaman, produced the accused in court. Later, when he was detained in jail and an application was made to preserve his DNA through the CID, the court granted it.

Investigation officer SI Aktaruzzaman said that the victim child had given a detailed description of the rape against the accused teacher in the statement given in court. However, during the interrogation on remand, Aman Ullah Sagar denied the allegations. Even then, he said that some important information has been found in the investigation.

Police said that there is an allegation against Aman Ullah Sagar, the founding director of Hazrat Fatematuzzahura Mahila Qaumi Madrasa in Madan Upazila, that he raped an 11-year-old student of his madrasa multiple times. Later, when the child became pregnant, he was taken to the doctor and the matter came to light.
