Curzon Hall polling officer withdrawn

Ziaur Rahman, a polling officer and Amar Ekushey Hall employee, has been withdrawn for providing a pre-filled ballot to a voter at a booth in Amar Ekushey Hall at the Curzon Hall center.

In the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections, this polling officer gave a pre-filled ballot to a student at the Amar Ekushey Hall polling station on the second floor of Curzon Hall. In the wake of such allegations, the returning officer immediately inspected the booth.

When the allegation was found to be true, Ziaur Rahman was immediately withdrawn.

Polling officer Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury admitted the matter and said that it was an unintentional mistake.
