Cyclone, nor'wester likely in April, temperature may touch 41 degrees

The current month of April likely to experience much changes in terms of weather updates. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that a cyclone may form in the Bay of Bengal area this month, as well as severe nor'wester, hail and heat waves may occur.

The long-term forecast says that several storms and rains may occur in the country throughout April. There is a risk of severe nor'wester with thunderstorms for at least 3 days and light to moderate hail for 5 to 7 days.

At the same time, 1 to 2 low pressure areas may form this month, one of which may develop into a low pressure or cyclone. As a result, the weather situation in the coastal areas may become unstable.

The met office has also indicated a major change in temperature. Two to four mild to moderate heat waves and one to two severe heat waves may blow in April. This may raise the maximum temperature in the country to 41 degrees Celsius.

However, the Meteorological Department has said that there is a possibility of normal rainfall in the meantime. Normal water flow in rivers may continue and the average sunlight hours will be about 5.5 to 7.5 hours daily.

Overall, the Meteorological Department has advised to be alert due to storms, heat waves and possible cyclones in April.
