Daily commodity prices won’t increase during Ramadan: Salman F Rahman
Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman MP said that the price of goods will not increase during Ramadan as India will export essential goods to Bangladesh.
He said: "There will be no shortage of consumer goods in the coming Ramadan as India will export essential commodities to the country."
He said told this to journalists after a reception ceremony in Dirai, Sunamganj on Sunday.
Noting that the 12th National Assembly elections were held in a free and fair manner, he said: "All countries have congratulated Bangladesh. A few days ago, foreign ambassadors of those countries met the Prime Minister and congratulated her."
Salman F Rahman said that there were many rumors spread before the election and now all those were proved to be false. "According to the constitution of the country, the government has been formed through a fair election. We have got a good government."
He feels that now Bangladesh has to sustain the economic growth. "Due to covid, war in Russia Ukraine, now war in Gaza, our economic situation was a bit depressed, all these have to be undone. We will be reformed by renewing some economic issues."
Salman F Rahman MP expressed his conviction to take the economy forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He said that Bangladesh will not fall into any economic crisis. "Our economic strength is the agriculture sector which is still in good condition. We have had bumper yields in agriculture which is a great asset for us. India will export onion dal edible oil to Bangladesh."
The trade ministers of the two countries talked about these issues, he further said. "During the month of Ramadan, the government will import goods from abroad. Besides, private companies will also import product. "
