Deputy Attorney General Badiuzzaman Tapader has resigned from his post, citing personal difficulties. He submitted his resignation letter to the President through the Attorney General on Monday, June 22. In the resignation letter, the lawyer stated that he was appointed as Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh in August 2024 following the July-August uprising. He expressed gratitude to the concerned authorities, those who proposed and recommended his name. He further said that since taking office, he had tried to perform his duties with respect, honesty and dedication. However, due to personal difficulties, he has decided to step down from the position.

পদত্যাগ করেছেন ডেপুটি অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেল বদিউজ্জামান তপাদার। ব্যক্তিগত বিশেষ অসুবিধার কারণে এই পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়ানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন বলে জানান তিনি। সোমবার (২২ জুন) অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেলের মাধ্যমে রাষ্ট্রপতির কাছে আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে পদত্যাগপত্র জমা দেন বদিউজ্জামান তপাদার। পদত্যাগপত্রে এই আইনজীবী উল্লেখ করে বলেন, ২০২৪ সালের জুলাই-আগস্টের অভ্যুত্থানের পর একই বছরের আগস্ট মাসে তাকে বাংলাদেশের ডেপুটি অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেল হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেওয়া হয়। এই নিয়োগের জন্য তিনি সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষ, তার নাম প্রস্তাবকারী ও সুপারিশকারীদের প্রতি গভীর কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করেছেন। তিনি আরও বলেন, দায়িত্ব গ্রহণের পর থেকে তিনি শ্রদ্ধা, সততা ও নিষ্ঠার সঙ্গে তার ওপর অর্পিত দায়িত্ব পালনের চেষ্টা করেছেন। তবে বর্তমানে ব্যক্তিগত বিশেষ অসুবিধার কারণে তিনি ডেপুটি অ্যাটর্নি জেনারেলের পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়ানোর সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন।
