Deputy speaker leads four-member parliamentary team to China

A four-member parliamentary delegation from Bangladesh is set to leave for China on a four-day official visit at the invitation of Wang Yubo, Governor of China's Yunnan Province. The delegation will be led by Deputy Speaker of the National Parliament Barrister Kayser Kamal.

According to the Parliament Secretariat, the delegation will be in Kunming, China, from June 10 to June 13. The other members of the delegation are Akhter Hossain, Md Khaled Hossain Mahbub, and Sultana Jesmin.

During the visit, the deputy speaker will deliver a speech as the chief guest at the 7th China-South Asia Cooperation Forum on June 11. He will also hold a meeting with Wang Ning on the same day to discuss Bangladesh-China bilateral relations, economic cooperation and various issues of mutual interest.

The delegation will also attend the inaugural ceremony of the 10th China-South Asia Expo and visit Bangladesh's theme country pavilion.

On June 12, the delegation will meet with Yunnan Province Governor Wang Yubo to discuss increasing investment in Bangladesh, expanding trade and facilitating imports and exports. The same day, they will visit the Second Hospital affiliated with Kunming Medical University and attend a special session on healthcare and medical education cooperation.

On the final day of the visit, June 13, the delegation will visit China's Future Transportation Innovation Research Centre.
