Details about Hadi assailants can not be disclosed yet: Home Adviser

Home Adviser Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, retired, has said it is not possible at this moment to disclose all information about those involved in the attempted assassination of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

He made the remarks on December 15 after a meeting with a delegation from Dhaka University Central Students’ Union, Ducsu.

The home adviser said the demands raised by Ducsu vice-president Abu Sadik Kayem were justified. “Every demand raised by our younger brother is reasonable. We have said before in front of you that these steps must be intensified. We will certainly implement these justified demands,” he said.

Speaking about Sharif Osman Hadi’s physical condition, he said Hadi is currently unwell and prayers are being offered so that he can recover quickly and return among everyone.

When asked whether those involved in the assassination attempt are still in the country or have fled abroad, the home adviser said, “Everything cannot be said here right now.”
