Dhaka tops SSC pass rate at 71.63%, Madrasa board records lowest

The Dhaka Education Board recorded the highest pass rate among Bangladesh’s education boards in this year’s SSC and equivalent examinations, while the Madrasa Education Board posted the lowest, official results showed Monday (August 10).

The overall pass rate across the SSC and equivalent examinations stood at 62.25 percent.

Dhaka recorded a pass rate of 71.63 percent, the highest among the boards. The Madrasa Education Board ranked at the bottom with a pass rate of 55.49 percent.

Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan disclosed the figures at a press briefing at the Secretariat today following the publication of the SSC and equivalent examination results.

Among the general education boards, Jessore recorded a 66.27 percent pass rate, followed by Comilla at 65.42 percent and Rajshahi at 63.67 percent.

Chattogram recorded a 59.48 percent pass rate, while Barishal stood at 60.35 percent. The pass rate was 58.33 percent in Sylhet, 58.05 percent in Dinajpur and 57.39 percent in Mymensingh.

The Technical Education Board recorded a pass rate of 58.20 percent.
