DIA lists 973 educational institutions with various irregularities

The Directorate of Inspection and Audit (DIA) under the Ministry of Education has released a list of 973 educational institutions found with various irregularities, according to a notice signed by DIA Director Professor M M Shahidul Islam on Sunday (March 1).

The list covers inspections and audit reports conducted between July 1 and December 31, 2025, across institutions under the Secondary and Higher Education Division, Technical Education Division, and Madrasa Education Division.

Reported irregularities include use of forged or fake certificates, issuance of unacceptable credentials, illegal appointments, embezzlement of funds, and financial noncompliance related to VAT and income tax.

Copies of the reports have been emailed to the respective institutions, governing bodies, district education offices, education boards, and relevant universities.

Institutions that did not receive their reports can obtain them from the DIA e-document system via their district education office or by emailing the director at [director@dia.gov.bd](mailto:director@dia.gov.bd).
