DMP transfers 3 deputy commissioners, 5 additional deputy commissioners

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued a major reshuffle, transferring three deputy police commissioners and five additional deputy police commissioners to new assignments.

The transfer orders were signed by DMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Md Shahriar Ali on Sunday, August 30, and came into immediate effect.

According to the first order, Deputy Commissioner Md Sharafuddin has been posted to the Procurement and Workshop Division. Deputy Commissioner Md Azad Rahman, who was serving in the Traffic Wari Division, has been transferred to the Diplomatic Security Division. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Noor-e-Alam, who was serving in the City Research and Development Division, has been posted to the Traffic Wari Division.

In a separate order, five additional deputy police commissioners were also transferred. Md Sonahar Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Detective-Mirpur Division, has been posted to Detective-Gulshan Division. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Quarter Master) Md Sazzad Hossain has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Cantonment Zone under Gulshan Division. Mohammad Abir Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Cantonment Zone under Gulshan Division, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Staff Officer to Commissioner) at the Commissioner's office.

Additionally, Md Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury, serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Detective-Ramna Division, has been posted to POM-East Division. Md Nazrul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of POM-East Division, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Ramna Zonal Team under Detective-Ramna Division.
