DMTCL bars unauthorised filming, content creation at metro rail stations
The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has imposed a ban on all unauthorised video recording and content creation within metro rail stations and trains, aiming to ensure passenger safety and comfort.
DMTCL Director (Administration) A K M Khairul Alam issued a notification on the matter on Wednesday (February 26).
Authorities, in the notification, warned that filming, photography, short videos, live streaming, or any content for social media or commercial purposes without prior permission is strictly prohibited at stations, platforms, concourses, entrances, exits, and inside trains.
The notification emphasised that violations will invite administrative and legal action under existing laws and regulations.
DMTCL also clarified that any commercial photography or shooting must follow the “Commercial Space Rent and Lease Policy 2023” and require prior approval from authorities.
