DNCRP launches ‘Bazardor’ App for nationwide price updates
The Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) today launched a new mobile Android Applications (APPs) ‘Bazardor’ (market price) to inform consumers about the changing market prices of essential commodities.
Director General (DG) of the Directorate Mohammad Alim Akhter Khan inaugurated the apps at the conference room of the directorate in the capital.
During the launch event, it was announced that the app allows users to know the highest retail prices of products in the markets of 64 districts nationwide from anywhere.
The app was developed free of charge by Daffodil Institute of IT based on the department’s requirements.
Ibrahim Molla, the app’s developer, said, “The ‘Bazardor’app will ensure free access to information to stop price manipulation in the market. It will help guarantee fair prices for essential agricultural products to consumers.”
The ‘Bazardor’ app can be downloaded on any Android phone. To make it user-friendly, the app also supports offline use.
