Doctors hopeful about Khaleda Zia’s recovery: Dr. Zahid

Doctors treating the Bangladesh Nationalists Party (BNP) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia have expressed optimism about her recovery, according to her personal physician Dr. A Z M Zahid Hossain.

Briefing reporters on Thursday (18 December), Dr. Zahid said Khaleda Zia is regularly taking her prescribed medication and that her condition remains stable. “Her treatment is proceeding normally, and we are hopeful about her recovery,” he said.

Khaleda Zia has long suffered from multiple chronic health complications. She was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on November 23 after experiencing sudden breathing difficulties and remains under close medical supervision.

Her health condition continues to be closely monitored, with updates drawing significant political and public attention across the country.
