Dr Kamal Hossain, emeritus president of Gano Forum, has been admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka due to age-related health issues along with other physical complications. Mizanur Rahman, general secretary of Ganoforum, confirmed the news to media on Tuesday, stating that Dr Hossain was admitted last Sunday and has since undergone surgery. Following the procedure, his condition has improved. On behalf of Dr Kamal Hossain, Mizanur Rahman has requested the nation to keep him in their prayers.

রাজধানীর একটি বেসরকারি হাসপাতালে গণফোরামের সভাপতি ইমেরিটাস ড. কামাল হোসেনকে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে। বার্ধক্যজনিত ও শারীরিক জটিলতার কারণে তাকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয় বলে জানা গেছে। মঙ্গলবার (৯ সেপ্টেম্বর) এ বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন গণফোরামের সাধারণ সম্পাদক মিজানুর রহমান। তিনি সংবাদমাধ্যমকে জানান, গত রবিবার ড. কামাল হোসেনকে হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয় এবং তার অস্ত্রোপচারও করা হয়েছে। অস্ত্রোপচারের পর তার শারীরিক অবস্থার উন্নতি হয়েছে। ড. কামাল হোসেনের পক্ষ থেকে তার দ্রুত সুস্থতার জন্য দেশবাসীর কাছে দোয়া চেয়েছেন মিজানুর রহমান।
