Dr. Prabhat Chandra Biswas named acting DG of Health Directorate

Professor Dr. Prabhat Chandra Biswas has been appointed as the new acting Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

He was given this responsibility in a notification issued by the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday (March 10).

Earlier, Dr. Prabhat Chandra Biswas was working as a professor in the Department of Urology at Dhaka Medical College (DMCH).

The appointment was made by an order signed by Sanjeeda Sharmin, Joint Secretary of the Par-2 Branch of the Health Services Division, on the orders of the President. The order said that this officer of the BCS (Health) cadre has been transferred and posted to the post and place mentioned next to his name.

The notification mentioned that this order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.

Meanwhile, a copy of the notification has already been sent to the Cabinet Secretary, the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration and various related departments.
