Dr Yunus leaves Jamuna
Professor Muhammad Yunus, former chief adviser of the interim government, has left his official residence, the state guest house Jamuna.
He departed from Jamuna around 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 28, heading to his own residence in Gulshan.
It has been learned that after necessary renovation work, the building will be prepared for Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. However, whether he will move there has not been finalised yet. The Prime Minister currently resides at his personal residence in Gulshan.
After Dr Yunus's departure, the Public Works Department will begin renovation and maintenance work on Jamuna. After renovation, the building will be kept ready for the Prime Minister.
The Ministry of Housing and Public Works and the Public Works Department have said all related work, including interior decoration, will be completed within this month.
